Rajata (Silver) Rasa Shastra Workshop

I am happy to announce a Winter workshop in Germany this December, returning to the same charming venue in Peißenberg—about an hour’s train ride from Munich’s central station—as our previous Summer gathering.
Rajata (silver) is a captivating metal to work with, steeped in centuries of historical and alchemical significance. For a deeper dive, I encourage you to check out my earlier Substack post on Chandi-ka-Warq, the exquisite silver leaf used in traditional practices.
I’m optimistic about the weather holding steady, but even if it turns chilly or wet, the venue’s got us covered—with sheltered outdoor spaces and indoor spaces for hands-on work. A hot mulled wine or two will keep spirits high and creativity flowing!
In this workshop, we will start the transform process of silver into bhasma, while exploring its versatile applications in other alchemical elixirs such as its use in qiwam and sherbet—delightful sugary bases that can be infused with herbal powders, mineral and gemstone ash.
